It's almost time for the new school year!

I have been super busy getting ready for the upcoming year.  My classroom is almost finished being "neatened", decorated and prepared.

I bought a Cricut and have used it to do some of the decorating ... pictures to follow!

I also have made a bunch of posters to sell on Teachers Pay Teachers.  (pssst ... there's a sale starting tomorrow!).

There's a cake in the oven to celebrate my twin sons' 24th birthday later today.  Where does the time go?

Oh what a day

It's still quite warm here.  Wish we could get some rain so that it can cool off.

Vacation - Day 1

Well, it's now full-time vacation mode!  Wahoo!  Yesterday was our day to finish prepping the rooms for the summer.  Then it was off to a superb end-of-the-year luncheon.  Let's just say it was won-der-ful!

Today was my day to crash.  I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't wake up until almost noon!  Yikes!  But then I did go to pick up some books from a friend who is now officially retired.  Thanks, Michele, and I hope you have a wonderful time!

So, what is on my bucket list for summer, you ask?  Let's see ...

• clean out all of the closets and cabinets and make them purty.
• polish all of the furniture so it's purty too.
• read books that aren't for first graders.
• photography fun.
• spend time just relaxing!
• maybe go to my 40th reunion.

I just opened my shop at Teachers Pay Teachers.  But like Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, my shelves are bare.  I see so many wonderful ideas floating around the internet ... all I need to do is to develop some of my own. Hmmm ... wonder if my database would sell?  How about the set of labels for a word wall?

As if I don't spend enough time on the computer as it is ... now I'm into the blogging world, with a trip to Teachers Pay Teachers on the horizon.  Why, oh why, did I ever get hooked on Pinterest?  If I didn't, though, I would never have been exposed to all of the wonderful, exciting "things" that are out there.  Please save me from myself!
